Reflexology in Bromley

About me
My name is Becky and I have been practising reflexology since 2013 - I started my training in 2010.
I am married and have three small children aged 7, 4 and nearly 3. My eldest, Toby, has Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD so has opened our hearts up to a whole new way of seeing the world, as well as presenting us with some occasional challenges and numerous hilarious moments!
My interest in reflexology began in my late teens when a friend bought me a treatment as a gift. After that I was hooked! I have received reflexology semi-regularly ever since then and it has helped me with a range of conditions from back pain, to PND (which I suffered after my first child), and hormonal imbalances. My own reflexologist was even able to predict I was pregnant before I even knew it myself - my uterus reflex had presented as tender and this had never happened before and this can be an indicator of pregnancy. I received reflexology throughout all of my pregnancies and found it to be an extra special relaxing treat at what can be a very emotional time.
My previous career was as a primary school teacher and when I left teaching I knew that I wanted to do 'something' - I just wasn't sure what that 'something' was. It had been staring me in the face all along though and when the idea came to me to study reflexology I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it sooner! A few days later I received news that I had a small inheritance from my beloved nan, who had passed away the year before - and the money was just the right amount to cover the cost of the training course! So I took it as the universe sending me a message that I was on the right track - or who knows maybe my nan herself, depending on what you believe!I began my training with the Bayly School in 2010 and was buzzing with enthusiasm after the first module. However, I then found out I was pregnant, so continued to study for as long as I could until I had to defer. I then re-started my training in 2012, by which point I was pregnant again and I was determined I was going to finish it this time so took my exam at 39 weeks pregnant and was overjoyed to hear that I had passed with 85%!I have been practising ever since the birth of my daughter in 2013, but only recently have started formally advertising - now my youngest is at preschool and there are a few more child-free hours in the day. I love practising reflexology. I feel incredibly passionately about the power of complementary medicine to assist with healing the body and the link between mind, body and spirit. Every client presents a unique story and a new pair of feet to explore and I feel honoured to be able to be a part of their journey, whether it be assisting with a particular condition or for relaxation in general which is of course just as important in modern life
In February 2016 I completed my specialism in maternity reflexology with the Sally Earlam School of Reflexology. Sally is the Maternity Specialist for the Association of Reflexologists and has been practising reflexology for 16 years. I have since gained experience in practising reflexology on couples trying to conceive and ladies at all stage of pregnancy. It is a privilege to be able to support these clients on such a special journey.
